On Sunday March 26, 2020, Attorney General Barr ordered the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) to evaluate and release any appropriate inmates to home confinement for the remainder of their sentence.

The CARES Act has suspended the laws that prohibit the BOP from releasing inmates too early. The BOP is directed to consider a number of factors when making an early release decision, including the age and vulnerability of the inmate, security level, conduct in prison, risk assessment, whether there is a re-entry plan and the crime of conviction.

Call our office to find out if your loved one is eligible for early release.
